Breakfast at Doc's
The Doc's Inn serves a breakfast menu made from scratch by our Chef Kate. Here at the inn, we make an effort to source the best quality, often local ingredients, we follow a seasonal menu ethos, and we make an effort to cook simple, delicious food well. This often means our menu changes from week to week.
Your stay with us currently includes a free breakfast whose menu is chosen daily by Chef Kate. While the menu changes weekly, pictured below are some samples of guest favorites you can expect to experience with your stay. We also boast an impressive beverage menu of a daily fresh juice with house-made kombucha, and Blue Mind Coffee Roasters coffee.
Every once in awhile Chef Kate will drum up something delicious for special holiday weekend. Pictured here is smoked leg of local lamb with fried eggs, paprika butter, kalamata olive aioli and salsa verde (for Easter weekend). Don't forget our house-made hot sauce (always on the side), to add that extra kick.
Our Doc's Omelet is cooked in the style of a French omelet. The omelet is just barely set in the center and cooked gently. It is finished with a pimento cheese béarnaise, pickled mustard seeds, and fresh dill. While our Doc's Omelet will sometimes vary with fresh tomatoes in the summer, and asparagus in the Spring, it is the only menu item that remains a constant.
While we love a fancy dish here at Doc's, sometimes, you just need a messy, delicious breakfast sandwich to start your morning. From a simple bacon, fried egg and brioche, to angel biscuits with breakfast sausage and pimento, the weekend breakfast sandwich is always a popular weekend.
Morning Porridge was quite the popular dish for a Victorian breakfast. At Doc's, we like to honor that history with a comforting, steaming hot bowl of Chef Kate's favorite, weekly combination of hearty grains, house-made compotes and jams, fresh fruit, nuts, and seeds. Check out our Instagram for more pics of our delicious porridges.
Our Hoosier Toast came about in an effort to perfect the perfect Parker House roll. It is soft, moist, gently toasted with salted butter and served with a seasonal selection of jams and fruit butters, or sometimes layered with our house-made jam and baked with a generous topping of almond frangipane.
Bacon and side options
We offer a wide selection of side options to accompany our Genevieve Breakfast, everything from a delicious plate of bacon, to our house-made crispy potatoes, to a green garlic breakfast sausage.
